Jen Betton

• Jen Betton started her career in the arts by getting in trouble for drawing outside the lines in Kindergarden (Santa isn’t Santa without presents, just sayin’). She is an award-winning children’s book author-illustrator; her picture books include HEDGEHOG NEEDS A HUG, published with Penguin, which won Pennsylvania’s Keystone to Reading Award and a Magnolia Award finalist. She also illustrated TWILIGHT CHANT by Holly Thompson, published with Clarion, which was a NCTE Notable Poetry Book, and BARN AT NIGHT, written by Michelle Houts, with Feeding Minds Press.
  

  Jen is also a former art professor, and continues to enjoy being in the classroom when she does school visits and workshops. She lives in Dallas with her family and you can see more of her work and book activities at www.jenbetton.com
